Circuit Simulation using Tinkercad

Mmmm… Circuit Stimulation?, Any idea what the words suggest? Let’s try to understand!

Many appliances (devices) in our homes use electricity to work. Without it, our lives would be darker, duller and colder. Small electrical appliances often use batteries which store electricity. These appliances can be moved from place to place.

Electricity travels through wire from the power source (such as a battery), around a series of components (the circuit) and back to the power source. This makes the bulb light!

Circuits are the powerful individual sections that make up an electronic device and enable its functioning. Circuit simulation helps us understand how the final device would operate at various stages of its design.

About This Course!

During our course we’ll be using a virtual platform called tinkercad (https://www.tinkercad.com/) to create and test designs and later make modifications to the designs.

Tinkercad is an online service for creating basic 3D shapes and developing digital prototypes of electronic components. These prototypes include basic circuits, Arduino with LED lights, buzzers, switches, and these include sensors as a part of the design and Micro-bit .

By the end of the course you will have a thorough understanding about electricity and electronic components by building circuits.

This course is ideal for kids age 6 or above. This course is offered in offline and online mode and Kids registered in this course will require either a laptop, Ipad, tab or PC(windows,IOS) and a good internet connection to start learning.

What you’ll learn!

01

Beginner

Here, you will gain knowledge about the components & its uses. You’ll get hands-on experience on how various components are used in circuits to build real life solutions and build many great computing and robotics projects.

Ex: Traffic light system, PIR sensor, 7 segment display

02

Intermediate

In this module you will work with Microbit. Micro bit is a tiny circuit board designed to help kids learn to code and create with technology. It has many features including an LED display, buttons, and sensors. You can build creative projects that combine the magic of the digital and physical worlds.

Ex:- Working with light sensor, magnet sensor in microbit

03

Advanced

Here, you will gain knowledge about the components & its uses. You’ll get hands-on experience on how various components are used in circuits to build real life solutions and build many great computing and robotics projects.

Ex: Traffic light system, PIR sensor, 7 segment display

04

Certification test

In the end students will be assessed based on a certification project built on their own.To implement the Electronic concepts and build a circuit that are learnt in the course into action.

Ex:- Radio with microbit Servo motor with arduino etc
